Product Overview

ETHOCEL™ Standard 7 Industrial is an organosoluble, water-insoluble cellulose ether polymer. It is based on high-quality ethyl cellulose resin and it provides 49% ethoxyl content and a viscosity of 7 cP. It is a preferred grade when a low viscosity change is required.

Applications

ETHOCEL™ Standard 7 Industrial is a multi-functional resin that mainly used as a binder and water resistance barrier in a variety of applications as detailed below:

  • Adhesives: ETHOCEL™ Standard 7 Industrial improves the binding strength between adhesives and hot melts ingredients. It provides green strength and easily dissolved in hot polymers or plasticizers.

  • Conductive Pastes: ETHOCEL™ Standard 7 is used in conductive pastes to stabilizes metal pigments and improve binding efficiency.

  • Electronics: ETHOCEL™ Standard 7 Industrial is preferred in electronics over other binders for its ultra-purity, clean burn-out, high solubility, and pseudoplastic or thixotropy property for improved print and adhesion for lamination.

  • Other Applications: ETHOCEL™ Standard 7 is also used in ceramics, cleaners, coatings, printing inks, plasma display panels, photovoltaics, flexible packaging, lubricants, and any other solvent-based systems
