ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 Industrial

Cellulose ether thickener for solvent based systems. Water Insoluble. Standard ethoxyl content of 49%, yields viscosity of 300 cP at moderate addition level.

Product Overview

ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 Industrial provides the highest viscosity of the Ethocel™ range with 270 - 330 mPa.s. It is an organosoluble, water-insoluble ethylcellulose resin. The product can be used a variety of applications such as conductive pastes, printing inks, paints, and coatings.

ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 Industrial is the highest viscosity grades of the ETHOCEL™. It works as a binder, thickener, and film former in many applications as detailed below:

  • Adhesives: ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 provides green strength, thickening, and thermoplasticity to hot melts and solvent-based adhesive systems.

  • Agriculture: ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 can be used in adjuvants and seed coatings to stabilize emulsions when oily actives are present.

  • Specialty Coatings: ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 provides waterproofing, toughness, flexibility and high gloss to paints and coatings. It is compatible with low and high-temperature systems. It can be used in a wide range of coating applications such as paper, fluorescent lighting, roofing, enameling, lacquers, varnishes, and marine coatings.

  • Other Applications: ETHOCEL™ Standard 300 is also used in cleaners, plasma display panels, photovoltaics, flexible packaging, lubricants, and any other solvent-based systems that require high viscosity thickeners.
