ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial

ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is an organosoluble, water-insoluble cellulose ether polymer. It is based on high quality ethylcellulose resin providing a viscosity of 9.0 - 11.0 mPa.s. ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is utilized in applications when low viscosity change is required.

ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is a multi-functional resin. It works as a binder, thickener, rheology modifier, film former, and water barrier in many applications as detailed below:

  • Adhesives: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is widely used in hot melts and other solvent-based adhesives for its excellent thermoplasticity. It can be dissolved in hot polymers, plasticizers, and oils. ETHOCEL™ is compatible with heatseal products and it adds strength to freshly sealed joints.

  • Agriculture: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 can be used in adjuvants and seed coatings to stabilize emulsions when oily actives are present.

  • Ceramics: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is the highest quality binder used in ceramics especially multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) and other high-end electronic ceramic applications.It functions as a binder and rheology modifier. It also provides green strength and burns out without residue.

  • Conductive Pastes: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is used in conductive pastes and inks as a binder and rheology modifier. It stabilizes metal pigments and burns out cleanly.

  • Electronics: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is the most efficient binder in electronics for its ultra-purity, clean burn-out, high solubility, and pseudoplastic or thixotropy property for improved print and adhesion for lamination.

  • Printing Inks: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is commonly used in solvent-based ink systems. Its organosolubility, high compatibility with plasticizers and polymers make it best fit for gravure, flexographic and screen printing inks. It functions as a rheology modifier, dispersant, and a binder which helps the formation of tough and high resistance films.

  • Specialty Coatings: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 provides waterproofing, toughness, flexibility and high gloss to paints and coatings. It works at room temperature and also highly efficient in low and high temperatures. ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is commonly used in paper, fluorescent lighting, roofing, enameling, lacquers, varnishes, and marine coatings.

  • Other Applications: ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 is also used in cleaners, filtration, plasma display panels, photovoltaics, flexible packaging, lubricants, and any other solvent-based systems.
