Product Overview

METHOCEL™ K15MS is a water-soluble cellulose ether polymer with similar properties as METHOCEL™ K15M, except it is surface-treated for delayed dissolution. The product provides viscosity of 15,000 cP and gelation temperature of 70°C - 90°C (158°F - 194°F).


METHOCEL™ K15MS is modified for retarded dissolution which makes it a perfect fit for adhesives, gel packs, drilling fluids, and other delayed thickening applications.

  • Adhesives: METHOCEL™ K15MS can be used as film former, thickener and binders in adhesives. It provides wet-tack, quick set, fast dry, and oil resistance to various types of adhesives.

  • METHOCEL™ K15MS has also been used in cleaners, asphalt emulsions, and plastic injection applications. It functions as a surface modifier and provides lubricity for smoother surface and application.
