METHOCEL™ A4M Premium is a water-soluble cellulose ether polymer with similar properties as METHOCEL™ A4M, this is a premium product with lower impurities for high purity applications. The product provides a viscosity of 4000 cP.

Applications

METHOCEL™ A4M Premium works as a binder, rheology modifier, thickener, lubricant, film former, and suspension aid. The product is widely used in ceramics and extrusion applications. It is also used in gel packs, adhesives, and other applications when high purity is required.

  • Adhesives: METHOCEL™ A4M Premium is commonly used in adhesives as a film former, thickener, and binder. It provides improved wet-tack, quick set, and oil resistance to various types of adhesives. The product is utilized in specialty applications when premium purity is essential such as food packaging and medical adhesives.

  • Ceramics: METHOCEL™ A4M Premium is used to provide a high-quality thickening, improved binding and excellent rheology control in ceramics extrusion and casting. It also provides lubricity, smoother surfaces and prevents sag or deformation.

  • Plastics: METHOCEL™ A4M Premium acts as a suspension agent in PVC polymerization. The product provides exceptional particle size control, low reactor scaling, high bulk densities, and advanced plasticizer absorption.
