METHOCEL™ A15C Premium is a low-impurity-level methylcellulose thickener used in coatings and ceramics. It yields a viscosity of around 1,500 cP at 2% in water.
METHOCEL™ K100M Premium provides solutions and gels with very high viscosity, making it ideal for creating certain cleaner, coating, and adhesive formulations.
Cleaners: METHOCEL™ K100M Premium creates stable, highly viscous solutions and gels. Since it is highly stable in a wide variety of pH and has moderate organosolubility, it is compatible in a variety of formulations. The action of building high viscosity or gels in these formulations make it ideal for spreading onto overhead or vertical surfaces with no dripping or sagging.
Coatings, Adhesives, and Paint Removers: The high viscosity build and gelation that METHOCEL™ K100M Premium imparts make it useful for coatings, adhesives, and paint removers intended to be applied by hand. Like in the cleaners application, it helps prevent dripping and sagging when formulations are applied to overhead surfaces. METHOCEL™ K100M Premium may also be used as a film-forming binder in these applications.
