Premium grade Methylcellulose thickener. Yields viscosity of 400 cP at low addition levels.

Product Overview

METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is a water-soluble cellulose ether polymer with similar properties as METHOCEL™ A4C, this is a premium product with lower impurities for high purity applications. The product provides a viscosity of 400 cP at low addition levels.

METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is a high purity grade for applications when low impurities level is required. It used as a thickener, rheology modifier, binder, lubricant, and film former. The product is commonly utilized in agriculture, coatings, inks, metalworking, and other applications when high purity is required.

  • Agriculture: METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is used in agriculture applications such as adjuvants, crop protection, pesticides, and seed coatings. It provides drift control, stabilization, rheology modification. It works as a dispersing aid in wettable pesticides and fertilizers. METHOCEL™ A4C is listed in EPA inert ingredients and allowed to be used in crop protection products.

  • Coatings and Inks: METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is used in specialty coatings and inks such as packaging and medical application when high purity is required. It works as a thickener, protective colloid, and pigment suspension in coatings and inks. It also provides exceptional film properties such as high tensile strength and elongation besides improving workability and water retention.

  • METHOCEL™ A4C Premium is also commonly used in lubricants and metalworking fluids for its high lubricity and binding properties between organics and water.
