METHOCEL™ 311 is a designed grade for solvent blend systems when viscosity and cling are required. It can be used as a thickener, rheology modifier, binder, lubricant, and film former. It is most commonly used in paint strippers and graffiti removers but it can also be used in industrial cleaners, adhesives, gel fuels, coatings, inks, and many other applications.
Adhesives: METHOCEL™ 311 functions as film former, thickener and binders in adhesives. It provides wet-tack, quick set, fast dry, and oil resistance to various types of adhesives.
Cleaning Solutions: METHOCEL™ 311 provides improved thickening, viscosity control, soil anti-redeposition, emulsion stabilization to cleaners and detergents.
Coatings and Inks: METHOCEL™ 311 is used as thickener, protective colloid, and pigment suspension in coatings and inks. It provides outstanding film properties such as high tensile, strength, and elongation. It also improves workability and water retention for construction coatings.
Paint Strippers: METHOCEL™ 311 is the ideal thickener for paint strippers due to its water and organic solvents solubility. It provides improved thickening and excellent cling for enhanced efficiency on vertical and inclined surfaces.
