Product Overview

METHOCEL™ A15LV is a low viscosity water-soluble cellulose ether polymer. It is based on high purity, and non-ionic Methylcellulose (MC). It provides the lowest viscosity of Methocel range with 12 to 18 cP.

Applications

METHOCEL™ A15LV is used in water-based formulations. It functions as a binder, lubricant, and surface modifier when low viscosity is required. The product is a high-efficiency thickener for ceramics, coatings, inks, and adhesives.

  • Ceramics: METHOCEL™ A15LV provides improved binding and excellent rheology control in ceramics, extrusion, and casting. It also provides lubricity, smoother surfaces, and prevents sag or deformation.

  • Coatings and Inks: METHOCEL™ A15LV is used as a surface modifier, protective colloid and pigment suspension in coatings and inks. It provides outstanding film properties such as high tensile, strength, and elongation. It also improves workability and water retention for construction coatings.
